Maps & Directions to our Meetings

The Sierra Foothills Rose Society meets the first Thursday of each month, except July and August at 7:30 P.M. at the Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Drive, Roseville, CA 95661 Phone: (916) 774-5950. Meetings include a short business meeting, cultural tips from the Society's Consulting Rosarians, exhibition tips through a monthly Little Rose Show and interesting programs on rose culture by knowledgeable speakers. Refreshments are served by members of the society at every meeting. See the Schedule of Rose Activities and Events for more details.

There are several ways to take to the Maidu Community Center depending on your starting point. The maps below show all the roads and highways in the Sacramento Valley area in relation to the Center. Further instructions are given below if you are coming from the south, the west, or the north. Directions to Maidu Community Center, Roseville, CA

From Sacramento and points south:

Take I-80 north toward Roseville/Auburn
Exit at Douglas Blvd; turn right onto Douglas East towards Folsom Lake
Turn right or south onto Rocky Ridge Road
At Maidu Drive, turn left. You will be entering Maidu Park and the Center will be just to the north.

From Folsom or the Hwy 50 Corridor:

Take I-50 to the Hazel Ave offramp
Exit to Hazel Avenue north which will become Sierra College at the Placer County Line. Proceed to Douglas Blvd.
At Douglas Blvd turn left and you will be going West.
Turn left at Rocky Ridge Road
At Maidu Drive, turn left. You will be entering Maidu Park and the Center will be just to the north.

Altissimo is a medium red, single petalled, large flowered climbing rose. It does exceptionally well in the Sacramento area both as a tall bush rose or managed as a pillar or arch. It is the official rose of the Sierra Foothills Rose Society.
