Maps & Directions to our Meetings

The Sierra Foothills Rose Society meets the first Thursday of each month, except July and August at 7:30 P.M. at Kroeger Hall (7119 Greenback Lane, Citrus Heights, CA 95621) at the City of Citrus Heights, City Hall facing Fountain Square Drive in Citrus Heights, CA. Meetings include a short business meeting, cultural tips from the Society's Consulting Rosarians, exhibition tips through a monthly Little Rose Show and interesting programs on rose culture by knowledgeable speakers. Refreshments are served by members of the society at every meeting. See the Schedule of Rose Activities and Events for more details.

There are several ways to come to the City of Citrus Heights City Hall depending on your starting point. The maps below show all the roads and highways in the Sacramento Valley area in relation to the City of Citrus Heights City Hall. Further instructions are given below if you are coming from the south, the west, or the north. Nearby Restaurants

Usually a group of rosarians take out the guest speaker out to dinner. They usually meet the speaker anywhere from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM. If you want to join the the group, please contact one of the Board members to let you know where the speaker would like to go out to dinner. There are many restaurants near the Citrus Heights City Hall. Some are within a 5 minute walking distance. There are also the usual fast food places for you to choose from. Here is a short list of our favorites:

Black Angus, along Greenback Ln near the near the NE corner of Sunrise Bl. and Greenback Ln.

El Torito Mexican Restaurant, located along Sunrise Bl. between Madison Av & Kingswood Avenues.

Fresh Choice, located along Sunrise Bl. at the NW corner of Sunrise Bl. and Madison Av. near Orchard Hardware Supply.

Hometown Buffet, located near the corner of Sunrise Bl & Woodmore Oaks Av. about 2-3 miles north of Greenback Lane. NOTES: Usually very crowded but excellent buffet style food. A group of rosarians need to go there ahead of time to hold a group of tables.

Altissimo is a medium red, single petalled, large flowered climbing rose. It does exceptionally well in the Sacramento area and it is official rose of the Sierra Foothills Rose Society.
